These are held online as ‘discussions’ focussing on a topic in Data Management. They are free for ACDM members (small fee for Non-Members).
As they are ‘discussions’ they are different to webinars and no presentation slides are prepared.
A person is identified to lead each session, together with a Chair, they drive the discussion with those who join call. Sometimes the sessions are recorded and/or summarised and shared with ACDM members.

Since Electronic Data Capture solutions entered mainstream use over 20 years ago they have provided a central point around which most data capture and processing for clinical trials has centred.To an initial tool that efficiently processed data from Case Report Forms (CRF) was added eSource and integrations with lab data, randomisation and Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO) solutions, and more. As the variety and volume of clinical trials data increases will EDC retain the primary position it has held, or will we see an evolution to new approaches, and if so what. |
