Jon Wood handing over his role of Chair

In September, regrettably, Jon Wood resigned as Chair from the ACDM Board of Directors. Jon took over the chair role from Emmet Browne in 2016 after being on the Board for a couple of years. Chairing the ACDM was close to his heart, but training and continuous professional development in clinical data management is his passion. He ‘was’ the Training Committee of the ACDM, and he also delivered many of the ACDM courses. He combined this active role in the ACDM with his current job as Senior Vice President and Biometrics Head at Accelsiors, a CRO based in Budapest, Hungary.

Jon brought the offerings of the ACDM Training Committee to the next level by obtaining official accreditation of the Level 1, 2 and 3 courses by partnering with the International Academy of Clinical Research (IAOCR). This was a huge accomplishment for the ACDM and offers full benefits for the ACDM members.

He promoted the ACDM to a wider European audience and continued to attract members from all over the globe. Under his guidance the yearly conferences continued to touch base in London and Brussels..

We are happy that we don’t have to let him go entirely as he will continue to act as the trainer on several ACDM courses. He continues to inspire us with his huge experience in the field of Data Management together with a bright outlook and positiveness.  We like to thank Jon for his contribution and at the same time we welcome Ian Pinto as new Chair of the Board of Directors.

Hanneke Lankheet, Secretary ACDM, on behalf of the ACDM Board of Directors.
