Newsletter Committee
The ACDM Newsletter Committee are volunteers working within the data management community. The Committee meet regularly using their expertise and vast knowledge of the industry to create valuable and interesting content. The newsletter is issued to ACDM members throughout the year giving updates on ACDM activities and providing the opportunity for members to interact, learn and share.

James McKenna Platform Consultant, DCT Services | Medidata Solutions Click to view biography James serves as DCT Platform Consultant within Medidata’s Advisory Services team. He started his career in clinical research 10 years ago and has broad experience covering academic, CRO, vendor and sponsor organizations. Whilst working for a sponsor he led the implementation of new EDC and eCOA technologies; a project which earned second-place in ‘Innovation in Data Management’ at the ACDM awards in 2020. James recently completed a Master of Science in Clinical Trials to further his understanding of the full landscape and has previously presented at ACDMi. His key interests include eCOA, emerging technologies and DCTs. |

Ali Roskell Clinical Data Manager | Vitaflo International Ltd Click to view biography Ali works within the Clinical Operations team at Vitaflo International Ltd as Clinical Data Manager and is responsible for all aspects of data management for the Vitaflo clinical trial portfolio. She works cross functionally with internal and external study stakeholders to ensure that data management procedures and deliverables are met and performed in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and current regulatory and ethical requirements. Ali has a wealth of clinical research experience having begun her data management career in 1996 and has previously worked in various data management roles in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, NHS and more recently for a specialised data management and biometrics Contract Research Organsiation (CRO). Ali has been involved in the ACDM for many years, initially as a newsletter committee member, then Newsletter Editor and Chair. Ali joined the conference committee in 2009, and apart from a short break, has been involved since. |

Emily Voss Head of Data Management | CRO Solutions Click to view biography Emily is the Head of Data Management department at CRO Solutions and the Medicines Evaluation Unit. She is responsible for all areas of data management, overseeing a team and ensuring Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Data Integrity. She is also establishing the data management department at CRO Solutions. Alongside this Emily is also the Data Protection officer for the Medicines Evaluation Unit Ltd and Data Protection Assistant for CRO Solutions Ltd where she ensures compliance to the Data Protection Act. Emily has a variety of experience in clinical trials conducted within NHS, academic and CRO to a phase 1 accredited site. In these roles she managed multiple studies with a range of therapeutic areas from Oncology and Respiratory to Mental Health. |

Angela Paterson Principal Clinical Data Manager | TFS Click to view biography Angela is a Principal Clinical Data Manager in TFS Health Sciences’ Strategic Resource Solutions (SRS) department. She started her Clinical Data Management career back in 2001, when paper CRFs and fax machines were still in use. Angela has worked in different CROs as a Data Manager and has experience with various clinical projects; from Phase I to Phase IV and RWE, including EAPs. In parallel with pursuing her career goals, Angela studied part time with the Open University, achieving a BA Hons degree in English Literature. Whilst CDM and literature are not obvious related fields, Angela appreciates the link between writers of fiction and data managers – both aim to tell a good story. Throughout her 20 + years in the industry, Angela has witnessed many changes within the industry, concluding that change is the only constant within CDM. |
